The success of the ICMRBS comes directly from those who organize the meetings. At the 2028 ICMRBS meeting in Atlanta, the ICMRBS Council will review proposals for the 2032 meeting. Persons who are interested in making a proposal are strongly encouraged to contact the ICMRBS Chairperson, Koichi Kato (NINS Institute for Molecular Sciences), well in advance of the August 2028 meeting.
Proposals are best made in person and should cover:
- the proposed location (by tradition, the 2032 meeting should be in Europe. Past European meetings have been in Switzerland, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, England, and Sweden. Applications to return to these countries or new ones are encouraged!)
- composition of the organizing and program committees
- the projected size of the meeting
- facilities available at the proposed location (lecture rooms, space for posters, dining, housing for students and other attendees)
- projected budget
- funding possibilities
